Beaverhill Bird Observatory

The Beaverhill Bird Observatory (BBO) is a non-profit, charitable, volunteer organization dedicated to the study of resident and migratory birds and other aspects of natural history at Beaverhill Lake and elsewhere. The membership of the society ranges widely from the professional biologist to the inexperienced nature lover. Members gain first hand experience with birds during banding activities, a greater awareness of nature and chances to be involved in international projects. Activities range from field trips, bird banding workshops, training volunteers, publishing a newsletter and an annual report. The BBO maintains contacts with other similar organizations across North America.
